THE POOL is 12m long by 4m wide and is linked to a small toddler pool at one end. It is a salt water pool (great for the skin and the environment) and is solar heated with underwater lighting. There are plenty of sun beds and two terraces, one in full sun and another terrace with partial shade in front of the pool house. The pool is securely fenced off in compliance with the latest French regulations on pool safety.
For the technically minded here is a little information about our pool. Salt water pools were developed in Australia in the 1960s as they are better to swim in and better for the environment. They use a chlorine generator to produce natural chlorine from salt by separating the salt molecules into their component parts: chloride and sodium. The salt is converted to chlorine to sanitize and oxidise the water within the generator and then converts back to salt as it re-enters the pool. This results in water that’s gentler on the skin, eyes, nose and hair. Salt water pools have approximately one-tenth the salinity of ocean water and about one-third the salinity of human tears so swimmers can enjoy the soft feel of the water with no salty taste and no unpleasant chlorine smell.
"The pool also has a toddler paddling area, which the little tots absolutely loved. Cannot fault it and would definitely book again".
The pool was fantastic, such a fabulous temperature and the baby pool at the end meant we could all be together in the pool and the very little ones were able to stay in as long as they liked. "The pool is fantastic and the area beautiful". "The pool (kept spotless by both of you) was greatly appreciated by all ages of our family". |
